The Battlefield 2 Player 1st needs 60 hours in Ground Defense and the Veteran Ground Defense Badge.

After meeting these initial requirements the BF2 Soldier will need
24 Kills using ground defense during a single round of Battlefield 2 online game play using an official ranked server.
