Proper Fire Safety Required for Senior's Birthday Celebration.In accordance with local safety regulations, a birthday cake with over 40 candles is considered to be “At Risk”. To comply with the regulations, long stem matches and fire extinguisher were added to the celebration of Rosemary’s 75th Birthday Bash! Although placing cake on a wooden table is risky, she was able to blow out all the candles very quickly. One witness stated that after the fire was put out we were lucky the smoke didn’t set off the smoke alarm.
