Aquatic Litter Removal removes trash from local river during
labor day party weekend.. “Everyone was talking
trash, but we
decided to do
something positive,” said Dr. Dirt talking about his ecology class effort. We
collected over 3 boat loads of trash from the river,
of course the Solid Waste Recovery Plant was closed for the holiday so we ended up stacking the
litter next to US Highway 19. Late Tuesday everything was gone. Either
Dump-All picked it up, or it could have been blown away by the
pending Hurricane.
