Dollar Store
Makes Innovated Change
ORLANDO, FLORIDA
-
Due to hard economic times a lot of companies are making landmark changes, The
Dollar Store is no exception. Buc Allis, CEO of The
Dollar Store (TDS) stated that after the last 15 years there
hasn’t been any price changes in our nation wide stores and it’s time we
do something different. Starting next week we are starting a revolutionary
promotion and everything in the store will now be $.99 cents!
Buc said “Hell, we might even change our name!”.
Buc also added “I just hope we have enough ink in
our sticker machine to change all these prices." “Mr. Allis also told JBN
that he would have to retrain his entire staff, including the price check
clerks. This new concept will help out in the confusion of when a customer ask
the price of an item and the clerk replies “Buck”, I won’t think they are
calling for me anymore. Mr. Allis said he is confident that current business software
will be compatible with the new price schedule.
News
Flash: In a related story, action reporter Penny Lowe,
found an amazing discovery. Since the report on
The Dollar Store slashing prices Dollar General has stated ‘We will not be under
sold”. A Dollar General employee stated that they are reducing prices from 30%
to 80% on selected items. The worst part of selling something for $.20 is that
now we only have a 50% profit margin, but our customers come first and we still
have the high quality merchandise.
