Regional Sleep Competition to start December 1st
2004 with National Competition to be hosted in Dallas on April 1st
2005.
This will be the first year major networks will get
involved and are already selling 30 second spots for record amounts,
second only to the Crab Wars last spring.
As many of you already
know, the preliminary trials have already started in the Big 3 and
will start soon around here.
The United States is trying to defend
it’s title during the international competition and the way things
are shaping up we have a good chance to retain the cup.
Last year in
Colorado the Americans slept their way to victory with ease, however
this year might be a different turn of events. The “Nod & Wink”
event has been removed since the accidental wardrobe malfunction,
but other events have been added to keep the spectators from being
too tired to watch the complete match.
Sleep Competition's success is due in part to the
apathetic attitudes of its participants. Similar to a show about
nothing, the sleep competition doesn't require much from the
participants and even less for the reporters
who cover this
nightmare.
Talk about a dream assignment. JBN reporters are sure to
do their research while covering this competition.
Grab
the Remote, Kick Back and Recline! The Sleep Competitions are ready
to Unwind.
Sleep Competition requires
a sufficient time allotment from all contest entrants.
